My handsome husband loves Chelan, WA. It's dotted with gorgeous vineyards and wineries surrounding a beautiful lake. I always wanted an intimate romantic wedding so a destination wedding fit us quite well. Our venue delivered plenty of magical elements... our cocktail hour and dancing tent was on an island surrounded by ponds with fish, the ceremony site overlooked the lake, and our reception dinner was held under real grape vines with grapes and leaves hanging down.

We wanted personal touches so the wedding felt like us. I love poetry and literature so we included paper flowers throughout the decor including small blush paper roses at the place settings with custom matchbooks (we met on Match.com). My favorite poem (Sky Circles) by Rumi was highlighted on our menu and the reason we hung bird cages instead of chandeliers. Our initials and names were featured behind us at the reception table. And gold leaves were on my headpiece, menus, matchbooks and our wedding cake.

Craig picked his attire and opted for a classic blue suit. I wanted something timeless and romantic. My Hayley Paige gown had a faint hint of blush and peach along with a beaded belt giving it a glamorous vibe. I paired it with a black velvet vintage caplet and clutch once the sun set.
