Shea and Greg
Greg and I met when I joined a cornhole league when I first moved to Arlington, VA. I loved playing cornhole in college at Virginia Tech tailgating for football games and Greg is a huge Redskins fan and would play tailgating.
Our ceremony and reception was hosted at a gorgeous winery in Leesburg, Virginia called Stone Tower Winery. Our decor and colors were inspired by summers vacationing in Cape Cod, Massachusetts filled with white peonies and hydrangea and touches of soft blues.
I knew I would be a Lazaro bride when style 3201 first aired on Say Yes to the Dress. Even after watching hundreds of more episodes and finally going dress shopping myself once engaged, I couldn't find another dress that compared to this one. Since it was an older style, I called local bridal shops carrying the designer to see if anyone still had the dress to try on without any luck. Finally, my coworker mentioned that she saw a sign at Nordstrom that Lazaro was having a trunk show the following week. She suggested I call and make an appointment and see if there was any chance they could bring in this older style. Well, they did!!, and it was everything I had always dreamt it to be: lace, scallop trim along the sweetheart strapless top, and a textured imperfect edge bottom with a long train.
My wedding would have been incomplete without my Lazaro gown.
