Anne and Joe
After a whirlwind courtship and a beautiful proposal at the historic Shea's Performing Arts Center in downtown Buffalo, NY, Anne and Joe were married on a warm summer afternoon. Surrounded by their loved ones, they said "I do" at Christ the King Chapel of Canisius College, their shared alma mater. Following a gorgeous ceremony, Anne, Joe, and their 21-person bridal party (three flower girls, seven bridesmaids, two brides-men, seven groomsmen, and two grooms-women) took photos at Delaware Park and then returned to the "scene of the crime" at Shea's Performing Arts Center for a few shots there as well. Once the photos were finished, everyone ate and danced the night away at the reception in Asbury Hall, a former church turned event space by singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco. Foregoing a more traditional first dance song, Anne and Joe danced together for the first time as husband and wife to the fun and upbeat "I'm A Believer" by Smash Mouth. Highlights of the reception included speeches that brought the house down (nothing could ever top that Maid of Honor speech by Anne's sister, Mary!), a glittery custom photo backdrop, signature cocktails named after the bride and groom's beloved dog, Ivan, and cat, Snozzy, an entire ROOM full of dessert, and, of course, music that packed the dance floor for the entire night.
