Maura and Kevin

We spent the majority of our engagement/wedding planning apart, while Kevin, who is an infantry captain in the army, was deployed overseas. When the big day finally arrived, it felt surreal. It will always be amazing to me how definite and calm my heart felt walking down the aisle to Kevin. Our favorite part of the day was the vows we wrote for each other. A line from his: “everyday I remember that I am lucky to have you in my life, I promise to never forget how fortunate I am.” A line from mine: “you make me feel loved, even when you are thousands of miles away, I promise to be here, when you always come home.” As soon as we finished our vows, the sky opened and it poured. Not only could you see the rain through our venues huge windows, but you could hear it on the roof. It sounded, and felt, like angels from heaven were applauding and cheering for our love and new beginning.
