Beccy and Steffen

We met in Melbourne, Australia just as he was wrapping up a semester abroad from his German university. He was 21 and I was 23. We survived six months long distance, before he chose to move to Melbourne permanently. We were together for six years when he pulled off an amazing surprise proposal in Melbourne's Botanical Gardens- where we had our very first date. We decided to get married in Malibu as my parents live in the OC, and it was the perfect half way point for our travelling guests. It was an added bonus that Malibu is so stunning! 70 guests traveled from England (my home country), Germany, Australia and New Zealand to attend. We had our rehearsal drinks on the beachfront deck at Moonshadows Malibu, and got married in the Birchwood Room at Calamigos Ranch. It was the happiest and most magical day of our lives, and I was beyond blessed to wear the dress of my dreams, the Elysia gown by the wonderful Hayley Paige.
